Celine Dion has been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare and debilitating condition. Her sister, Claudette Dion, provided an update, stating, “She’s doing everything to recover. She’s a strong woman.” Claudette described the symptoms as uncontrollable spasms, saying, “You know when people often jump up in the night because of a cramp in the leg or the calf? It’s a bit like that, but in all muscles.”

In December 2022, Celine revealed her diagnosis to fans, explaining that the spasms affected her daily routine and vocal cords. She shared an incident from a tour in Germany where she experienced muscle spasms before a performance. Despite her condition, she mustered the courage to perform but had to lower the song keys. She has since paused her Courage world tour.

Celine has retreated from the public eye and is being cared for by a team of doctors and a sports-medicine therapist. She lives with her three sons, René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson, in her $1.2 million Las Vegas home, which she and her late husband, René Angelil, bought in 2003.

Celine has sold several properties, including her former Jupiter Island home and a Summerlin, Las Vegas mansion. Her current residence in Henderson, Nevada, spans over 8,100 square feet and features luxurious amenities. Despite her health challenges, Celine’s legacy as a renowned singer with hit songs like “My Heart Will Go On” and “Because You Loved Me” endures.
