Police say an alleged ransom note is now a key part of the search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie.
The message reportedly demanded millions of dollars in Bitcoin for Nancy’s return. It included deadlines and warnings. The note also mentioned details about her home in Tucson, which raised serious concern for investigators.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation say the note is being treated seriously. However, they confirmed there has been no proof of life and no further contact from whoever sent it.
Police warned that fake ransom messages have also appeared during the search. One person has already been arrested for sending false messages not linked to Nancy’s disappearance. Officials say they will not release full details of the real note to prevent more hoaxes.
Investigators believe Nancy did not leave her home willingly. She has limited mobility and needs daily medication. Blood was found inside the house. Police say the investigation remains active and the focus is on bringing her home alive.
