Iran issues scathing response as Trump warns ‘a whole civilization will die tonight’

Tensions rose further after Iran responded forcefully to Donald Trump’s warning that “an entire civilization” could die in a single night.

As Trump described the crisis as a defining moment, his message pushed the United States, Iran, and their allies into an increasingly dangerous confrontation with no obvious way out. The reported bombardment of Kharg Island, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and rising oil prices have added even more pressure. Together, these developments have turned the Gulf into one of the world’s most unstable flashpoints, while governments and global markets prepare for possible fallout.

Iran’s answer was just as firm. It rejected calls for diplomacy, signaled that it is preparing for a longer conflict, and warned that power stations, energy systems, and communication networks tied to Israel and American interests could be targeted.

At the same time, US and Israeli strikes were reported in Tehran, while Iranian missiles were launched toward Israel. The conflict now appears to stretch across a much wider area, from the Mediterranean to the Gulf.

With each new threat, each aircraft brought down, and each missile fired, fears continue to grow. The central question now is whether world leaders still have control over events, or whether the crisis is moving beyond deterrence and toward disaster.
