Isla Fisher is welcoming the new year with a sun-soaked break in Barbados, months after describing her split from Sacha Baron Cohen as “really challenging.”
On Friday, the 49-year-old Australian actress shared a carousel of Instagram photos from her getaway. One shot showed her relaxing in bed in a green bikini. Others captured her on the beach at sunset in a pink floral blouse and sunglasses, her wet auburn hair draped over her shoulders as if she’d just come from the sea. Fisher captioned the post “Barbados Medley” and set it to The Beach Boys’ 1988 track Kokomo.
She also posted moments from nights out with friends. In one snap, the Confessions of a Shopaholic star wore a white low-cut dress, gold statement earrings, and soft glam makeup. Another photo showed her smiling with a drink in hand, dressed casually in a grey tank top with her hair up.
The trip follows major changes in Fisher’s personal life. She and Cohen announced the end of their 14-year marriage at the end of 2023, with their divorce finalised this past June. They share three children.
In a November interview with NewBeauty, Fisher said divorce can feel like “a different grief,” but she also called rebuilding “so fun.” She said she’s been using the time to reflect, explore new interests, reconnect with old relationships, and “be kind” to herself.
