Jake Paul has shared a message of support after Anthony Joshua was involved in a serious car crash in Nigeria that killed two people.
The crash happened on Monday, December 29, on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State. Joshua reportedly suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital. He is said to be doing fine.
Officials in Ogun State confirmed two deaths, describing the victims as male foreign nationals.

A relative of Joshua, speaking anonymously to the BBC, said the news “came as a shock.” They added that the family is hoping for his quick recovery, while also praying for those who lost their lives.
Joshua has often spoken proudly about his Nigerian heritage. He was reportedly in the country for New Year celebrations following his recent bout with Jake Paul earlier this month.
After the incident, Paul posted on X (formerly Twitter). He said life matters more than boxing and that he is praying for the victims, Joshua, and everyone impacted.

Video shared on social media appeared to show bystanders helping a shaken Joshua out of the wreckage. Witnesses said the crash happened around 11am local time when a vehicle collided with a stationary truck.
Nigeria’s Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said early information suggests the vehicle may have been speeding and lost control during an overtaking attempt.
