Wednesday star Jenna Ortega has revealed her deep struggles with mental health following her rise to global fame. In a recent interview, the 22-year-old actress spoke about the overwhelming pressure that came with the success of Netflix’s hit series Wednesday. “Is anyone ever ready for fame? No, I wasn’t,” she admitted.
Ortega shared that she suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), which becomes worse when she’s exhausted from long workdays and constant travel. “It’s quite difficult because we’re always travelling… you have to build a new routine every few weeks,” she said.

She also opened up about disturbing fan interactions. “Sometimes I feel uncomfortable when it’s grown men approaching me,” she shared. In one shocking moment, a fan screamed insults at her in public when she didn’t stop for a photo. “It’s horrific,” she said.
Despite the challenges, Ortega will return in Wednesday Season 2 on August 6, 2025. Fans continue to support her, with many calling her “brave” for speaking out. “She’s a human being,” one fan wrote. “She deserves peace too.”
