Singer and actress Jessica Simpson is embracing a new chapter in her life — and she’s being refreshingly honest about it.
In a recent interview with Extra, the 44-year-old star shared candid details about her romantic life following her split from husband Eric Johnson, whom she married nearly a decade ago. The conversation began at the Los Angeles premiere of her new Hulu drama All’s Fair, where Simpson discussed returning to acting — but quickly turned personal.
While speaking about her on-screen chemistry, Simpson joked about filming a kiss with an older co-star, admitting, “I’ve never made out with a man that much older than me. It wasn’t terrible.” When asked if that’s now her type, she laughed, “I don’t know about that. I think I’m into younger men at the moment.”
She added that younger men seem drawn to the confidence of an older woman. “When you’re newly separated, it’s fun to rediscover yourself,” she said with a smile.
Simpson confirmed in January that she and Johnson had decided to live separately, focusing on their three children — Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie. Despite the challenges, she says she’s “having fun right now” and enjoying life on her own terms.
