John F. Kennedy’s Grandson Makes a ‘Disrespectful’ Joke About JD Vance’s Wife, Causing a Stir – Details

Jack Schlossberg, grandson of President John F. Kennedy, faced criticism after sharing controversial social media posts referencing Vice President J.D. Vance’s wife, Usha Vance.

On April 6, Schlossberg joked on X, “I’m having a son !! So excited… Out of wedlock, yes. But we might get married.” He followed up with a digitally altered Instagram image of Usha Vance holding a baby with his adult face, captioned, “Little Jason and his mom… you become [a parent].”

The posts triggered backlash. Comments included, “Your grandfather would be ashamed” and “He owes Mrs. Vance an apology.” One user wrote, “No class. Why would someone say this?”

Schlossberg explained, “The joke is that I’m capable of producing a male heir.” In an interview with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki, he defended his tactics: “The internet is a place where it’s difficult to break through… getting a reaction is almost half the battle.”

He admitted he targets both those who get the joke and those who don’t: “Not every post is going to be hilarious… it’s important to take risks.”
