Greg Mathis Jr. and Elliott Cooper tied the knot on October 21, 2024, in a stunning beach ceremony in Cabo San Lucas. Surrounded by just 15 family members at the Waldorf Astoria, the couple exchanged vows in custom suits—Greg in navy and Elliott in purple, honoring his late mother.
Their fathers officiated the ceremony, while Broadway star Kyle Freeman performed “Here and Now.” The intimate celebration featured elegant beach décor, seafood favorites, and a blue-purple wedding cake. After the ceremony, the couple changed into new outfits to dance the night away with family.

Together for eight years, Greg and Elliott shared their love journey publicly on Mathis Family Matters. Though unsure about marriage at first, they chose to wed to represent and inspire LGBTQ+ love. “We deserve to know there is nothing wrong with us,” they said.

Now officially the “Mathis-Coopers,” the newlyweds are planning a larger Los Angeles celebration and dream of starting a family. Their union, rooted in love and representation, is a joyful message of pride and possibility.
