Tattoo icon Kat Von D has shocked fans by revealing both of her arms completely blacked out. The 42-year-old star of LA Ink said she grew tired of the colorful tattoos that once defined her look.
“I had been fed up with a lot of the tattoos I got over the years,” she told Inked Magazine. Working with blackout tattoo artist Hoode, she spent 17 sessions and nearly 40 hours transforming her body.
Von D also revealed she is undergoing laser removal for some designs, including a rose on her neck. “I grew tired of seeing those constant reminders every time I looked in a mirror,” she shared.
The result, she says, is a “nice and clean” canvas that reflects a new chapter in her life. Fans have praised her transformation as powerful and striking.
