Kanye West, who legally changed his name to Ye in 2021, is reportedly switching it up again. According to business filings uncovered by Page Six, he now goes by “Ye Ye” in several of his companies, including Yeezy Apparel and his record label. While there’s been no formal announcement, Ye hinted at the change, tweeting: “Gonna start a ye account and it is what it is.”
This name update follows a string of disturbing headlines. In February, Ye caused outrage after praising Hitler and releasing a song titled Heil Hitler. He also sold swastika-branded merchandise and reportedly split from wife Bianca Censori after appearing together at the Grammys.

In May, Ye posted a series of remorseful tweets, writing: “I am done with antisemitism. God forgive me for the pain I’ve caused.” He said a FaceTime call with his kids sparked his change of heart.
Ye’s team insists the name change is serious. “This is who he is now,” his chief of staff wrote, calling “Kanye West” his “slave name.” Whether fans embrace Ye Ye remains to be seen.
