A 15-year-old boy is accused of killing his parents and three siblings at their Washington home on October 21, 2023. His 11-year-old sister survived by playing dead and escaping through a window. The teen now faces five counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
According to court documents, the teen’s lawyer says the family lived under strict, isolated conditions shaped by “militant survivalist” beliefs and extreme religious views. “The home was abusive, tightly controlled, and dominated by extreme religious beliefs,” witnesses claimed.

The children were reportedly homeschooled, kept away from society, and raised to fear the government and medical professionals. Family members, including the boy’s grandmother, said the parents were abusive. She even warned she would report them to authorities if it didn’t stop.
The teen allegedly staged the scene to frame his brother, claiming his sibling killed the family over looking at pornography. Authorities say the boy called 911 himself and surrendered without incident. Prosecutors argue he remains a threat, though his lawyer says he has no prior criminal record.
