Walter came home to find his wife, Abby, in tears. Their newborn, Logan, had been crying nonstop despite her efforts. When Walter checked the crib, he was horrified—it was empty. Instead, he found a dictaphone playing Logan’s cries and a ransom note demanding $200,000. “I warned you that you’d regret being rude to me,” the note read, leaving Walter shaken.
Recalling a janitor he had mistreated at the maternity hospital, Walter suspected him. Despite Abby’s fears, Walter insisted on going to the police. But just as they arrived at the station, a message warned, “If you enter that police station, your kid’s going into the bay.” Left with no choice, Walter decided to pay the ransom.
After dropping the money at the designated locker, he followed the janitor, only to learn the man was just a middleman. The money was gone, and so was Logan. Returning home, Walter found Abby missing—along with her belongings. Realization struck: “Abby was Logan’s kidnapper.”
With the help of a doctor, Walter tricked Abby into bringing Logan to the hospital. As she arrived, FBI agents arrested her and her accomplice—Walter’s own brother, James. Furious, Abby screamed, “Logan isn’t even yours!” But Walter held his son tight. “I will watch him grow up while you two rot behind bars!” he declared, determined to give Logan the love he deserved.
