Lizzo has opened up about her weight loss journey and addressed rumors about using Ozempic. The singer, known for promoting body positivity, revealed she did try the weight-loss drug briefly but didn’t stick with it. “Ozempic works because you eat less. But if you can do that yourself, it’s the same thing,” she explained on Trisha Paytas’ podcast.

The Grammy winner credited her success to changing her diet and mindset. Lizzo admitted her vegan diet was part of the problem. “I was eating fake meats, bread, and rice — about 3,000 to 5,000 calories a day,” she said. Switching to whole foods like chicken and fish helped her feel full and avoid empty calories.
She also defended people who use weight-loss drugs or surgery, calling critics “fat phobic.” Lizzo proudly shared she dropped 16% body fat and lowered her BMI by 10.5.

“I worked really hard and it was intentional,” she said. For Lizzo, the results are proof that hard work and self-love go hand in hand.
