Disturbing Discovery
Police uncovered disturbing evidence in 2016 at a property linked to Christian Brueckner, the prime suspect in Madeleine McCann’s disappearance. Buried on his land in Germany, a dog’s grave also contained a wallet with USB sticks and memory cards. The devices reportedly included child abuse images, chats with paedophiles, and photos suggesting a fixation on young girls.
More Alarming Finds
Authorities also found children’s clothing, toys, chemicals, and weapons. A photo allegedly placed Brueckner near the scene of Madeleine’s 2007 disappearance. Some evidence reportedly suggests she may have died shortly after going missing.

Criminal History
Brueckner was convicted in 2016 of abusing a five-year-old and later of a 2005 rape in Portugal. He was named a suspect in Madeleine’s case in 2020, though he denies involvement and hasn’t been charged.
Family’s Hope Endures
As Madeleine’s parents marked the 18th anniversary of her disappearance, they said, “We continue to ‘celebrate’ her… We miss her.” A full investigation airs May 7 on Channel 4.
