Laura James, now Mrs. Parker, married Jeffrey Parker in a private ceremony. Her 16-year-old son, Ryan, was her best man. For three months, they were a happy family. However, Laura grew suspicious of Jeffrey’s sudden affection for Ryan. “Why are you hugging him so tight? You almost choked him!” she joked, but deep down, she felt uneasy.
Laura’s suspicions peaked when she found Jeffrey missing one night. She heard strange noises from Ryan’s room and confronted Jeffrey the next morning. “So, where were you last night? I saw you were not in the bedroom,” she demanded. Jeffrey made excuses, but Laura didn’t believe him. She asked him repeatedly about his late-night visits to Ryan’s room, but he brushed it off as “dad-son conversations.”
Determined to uncover the truth, Laura installed a spy camera in Ryan’s room. The next morning, Jeffrey joked, “You look so happy today! Don’t you have any weird questions about Ryan and me today?” Laura stayed silent, waiting to review the footage.
The footage revealed Jeffrey teaching Ryan to dance. Laura was overwhelmed with joy. That evening, Ryan and Jeffrey surprised her with a new dress and took her to a school dance event. Ryan announced, “You’ve done so much for me and even sacrificed your dancing career to raise me.” They dedicated the evening to Laura, who danced with Ryan, realizing she should verify the truth before jumping to conclusions.
“I’m sorry, both of you!” Laura apologized, deciding never to spy on her loved ones again.
