Traveling with a baby is stressful — but one mom’s nightmare flight turned into an unforgettable lesson.
Single mother Ava was flying with her 14-month-old son, Shawn, when he began crying uncontrollably. Exhausted, she gratefully accepted help from a man sitting nearby — until she noticed what he was doing.
“To my horror, he was tipping an energy drink toward Shawn’s mouth,” Ava said. Panicked, she grabbed her baby back as the man argued loudly, insisting she was “overreacting.”
A flight attendant quickly stepped in, ordered the man to return Shawn, and moved Ava and her baby to first class. “I don’t know what I would have done without her help,” Ava shared. “It was a reminder that empathy still exists.”
By the time they landed, Shawn was peacefully asleep and Ava felt a mix of relief and gratitude.
