An anonymous man has sparked a thoughtful discussion online after sharing his experience living with a micropenis and explaining how he approaches the topic with potential sexual partners.
Speaking Honestly About a Sensitive Subject
The man, who posted on Reddit, said his penis measures about a quarter of an inch when flaccid—far below the medical definition of a micropenis, which is a stretched length of 3.67 inches or less in adults. He wrote that his size has caused “many awkward and embarrassing moments” throughout his life.
When asked how he handles intimate relationships, he said he chooses honesty whenever the topic comes up during early conversations. If he and a partner are already in the moment, he simply hopes the experience will go smoothly.

Emotional Impact and Social Pressure
Other users acknowledged the intense social pressure men often feel around size and asked how he manages his confidence. He admitted that the issue has affected him deeply and still causes insecurity.
He shared that many partners appeared disappointed, and those reactions sometimes left him feeling depressed. Growing up, he avoided locker rooms, swimming pools, and public bathrooms, and he often used stalls instead of urinals to avoid embarrassment.
Coping With the Condition From Childhood
He said he first learned about his condition as a young child after doctors discussed it with his parents. They hoped he would “grow into” a more typical size, but that never happened. He realized the extent of the issue during junior high and high school.
Treatment Options Remain Limited
When asked about surgery, he explained he had researched enlargement procedures but found them expensive, risky, and often performed outside regulated medical settings. For now, he says he focuses on acceptance and managing the challenges as they come.
