Mariska Hargitay Celebrates 19 Years with Husband — They Almost Split While Dating but They’re a Family of 5 Now

Mariska Hargitay, known for her role in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” recently celebrated 19 years of marriage with her husband, Peter Hermann. The couple, who met on the show’s set, have three children. Hargitay shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, calling their wedding dance the “best dance” and “only dance” of her life.

Their wedding in 2004 was a beautiful affair in Santa Barbara, featuring a classic Carolina Herrera gown for Hargitay and a black Dolce and Gabbana suit for Hermann. The ceremony included a touching E.E. Cummings poem read by Hargitay’s father and ended with a gospel choir singing “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”

Despite a rocky moment early in their relationship, where they almost broke up, Hargitay and Hermann have stayed together. They now have three children, August, Andrew, and Amaya, and continue to live happily as a family.
