Meghan Markle has opened up about a life-threatening health condition in the debut episode of her new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder. In a candid conversation with Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, Markle revealed both women experienced postpartum preeclampsia — a serious condition involving high blood pressure after childbirth. Herd called it “life or death,” while Markle added, “The world doesn’t know what’s happening quietly… you’re still trying to show up for people — mostly for your children — but those things are huge medical scares.”
Despite recent personal and professional changes, including a “professional separation” from Prince Harry, Markle remains active in business. She recently relaunched her lifestyle brand as As Ever, offering products like teas, jams, and honey — all of which sold out quickly.

Balancing motherhood with work, Markle shared: “She’ll [Lilibet] be sitting there on my lap during one of these meetings… I don’t want to miss pickup if I don’t have to.”
Her podcast marks a new chapter following her previous show Archetypes, and comes alongside Netflix’s plans for a second season of With Love, Meghan.
