At 28, Bournemouth mum Elisha Cook thought she’d hit rock bottom — but life had further to fall.
After seven years addicted to online slots, she was drowning in £20,000 of debt and shame. “It felt like I was in another world,” she said. “Then I’d step out and think, what have I just done?”

Desperate to provide for her daughter, Elisha joined OnlyFans in 2024, hoping it would solve her money problems. “It was just an opportunity to make money,” she admitted. “But soon, sex became about work — not joy or intimacy.” The regret came fast. “I didn’t want to do it anymore. It’s not something I’m proud of.”
Even the thousands she earned slipped back into gambling. When Elisha finally told her mum everything, she broke down — and her mum took control of her finances. “She saved me,” Elisha said softly.

Today, she’s sober, focused, and using her story to help others trapped in the same cycle. “You have to use the determination you had for gambling to fight for your life back,” she says.
Her message is simple — no matter how far you’ve fallen, you can rise again.
