Some women dread that familiar monthly ache, while others simply learn to live with it. But one mom from Canada has taken a path that shocked the internet—and she isn’t shy about it.
Chantel Schnider, a mother of two from Ontario, shared that she gets pregnant every year to avoid having a period. In a lighthearted TikTok video, she danced around her kitchen with her partner and kids, joking that pregnancy keeps her cycle away. With a hand on her baby bump, she smiled and thanked her man for the “help.”

The video quickly took off, gaining more than four million views and plenty of mixed reactions. Some viewers cheered her on and shared similar stories of back-to-back pregnancies. Others simply called it “smart,” praising her for doing what works for her family.
But not everyone agreed. Many questioned her choice and suggested she try birth control instead of adding more children. Chantel brushed off the criticism with a laugh and replied that there’s “no way” she’d take that route. She even revealed that she and her partner hope to have eight to ten kids someday.
Chantel admitted her pregnancies are tough, but she still prefers them over dealing with monthly periods. For her, the trade-off is worth it, and she seems content with her growing family and the life they’re building.
Whether people agree or not, Chantel’s story reminds us that every family makes choices that fit their own comfort, rhythm, and dreams.
