Marina Smith says she’ll be spending Christmas alone this year — and she claims it’s because of how she looks.
The 34-year-old influencer and model from São Paulo, Brazil, says her friends chose not to invite her to their annual Christmas dinner because she’s single. According to Marina, they fear her presence could “tempt” their husbands and boyfriends.
She says she only found out after one friend’s boyfriend told her a WhatsApp group had been created to plan the celebration — and she wasn’t included. In that chat, she claims, her friends discussed whether inviting her might bring unwanted attention.
Marina has been single since early 2024 and describes her last relationship as draining. She says it ended after eight months, partly because everything was split so strictly it became exhausting — even after the breakup.
Still, she insists she has always respected her friends and their relationships. She says she dresses and wears makeup for herself, not to impress anyone, and believes jealousy is driving the situation.
Despite feeling hurt, Marina says she won’t accept a late invite. She’d rather stay home than sit at a table where she feels judged or unwelcome.
“Being beautiful isn’t a reason to exclude someone,” she says.
