One TikTok user, @jessicavibezx, filmed herself burning her Labubu, writing: “DO NOT BUY LABUBU. THEY ARE CURSED AND WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE.” She teased a follow-up, saying what came from the box wasn’t a toy, but “a scourge of souls.” Other users echoed her fear, warning others not to bring the dolls home.

While many brush it off as online hysteria, the theory is enough to spook casual buyers. One user wrote, “We’ve got enough inner demons.
