People are using a new term called “berrisexual” to describe how they experience attraction. It is a relatively recent label and has been appearing more often in online discussions.
Berrisexual describes people who can feel attraction to all genders. However, their attraction is usually stronger toward women, feminine people, and androgynous or non-binary people. Attraction to men or more masculine people can happen, but it is less common or less intense.

In simple terms, berrisexual sits between broader labels like bisexual or pansexual. It allows people to explain that their attraction is not equal across all genders. For some, this makes the label feel more accurate and comfortable.
Many people who use the term say it helps them better understand themselves. Some shared that older labels never felt quite right, and berrisexual gave them language that matched their real experiences.
The term is sometimes also called Laurian. While it is still not widely known, supporters say it gives space to people whose attraction does not fit neatly into existing categories. As with many newer labels, its main purpose is clarity and personal understanding, not to replace other identities.
For many, berrisexual is simply a way to explain who they are attracted to, in a way that feels honest and easy to understand.
