Lucy Peck, 43, hit back after critics mocked her 1930s home.
The family home is in Chatham, Kent, and went viral online.
She and her husband named the property “Peckingham Palace”.

What Changed Outside
The Pecks replaced the traditional look with a dramatic refurb.
They added a two-storey rear extension and a glazed porch.
Also, the home now has a large driveway and triple garage.
They added an outdoor swimming pool as part of the work.
Critics React Online
Meanwhile, people slammed the makeover after photos spread widely.
Some called the updated home “gross” and “ugly” on X.
One caption read: “Happy f*****g bright, shiny, stick-on, plastic, New Year everyone!”
Others wrote: “That’s such an ugly upgrade.”
Lucy Says “I Don’t Care”
However, Mrs Peck said she is not bothered by the comments.
She told MailOnline she got planning permission and built her style.
“I don’t care what people say. We are very happy with it.”
“I love it. We love it and we’re proud of it.”
Value And Neighbours
Later, she said the home was valued at £520,000 in 2019.
After the work, she said it was worth £1.4m.
Still, she said she does not know the project cost.
Finally, a neighbour said: “I think it’s great. I don’t see what the problem with it would be at all.”
