P!nk’s 2018 concert in Brisbane, Australia turned into a touching moment when she paused her performance to acknowledge Debbie Murphy, a fourteen-year-old holding a sign that read, “My Mom Died Last Month.” Debbie’s mother had passed away just weeks before the concert, but she decided to attend because she believed it was what her mom would’ve wanted.

Despite her grief, Debbie came with a sign asking for a hug, hoping P!nk would notice. Initially skeptical, she was surprised when the crowd helped her signal P!nk. Eventually, P!nk saw the sign and invited Debbie onstage. The emotional encounter was captured on video.
