Police Issue Major Suspect Update in Savannah Guthrie’s Mom Abduction Case

Police are continuing the search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of TV host Savannah Guthrie. She was last seen at her home near Tucson, Arizona. Family members reported her missing after she failed to attend church the following day.

Investigators say Nancy did not leave on her own. Her phone, car, and identification were found inside the home, and lights were still on. Police also found signs of forced entry and blood inside the house. Because she has limited mobility and needs daily heart medication, officers say she could not have wandered away.

Savannah Guthrie has asked for prayers and public support, saying the family’s only goal is her mother’s safe return. Police believe Nancy is still alive, but say time is critical due to her health needs.

An alleged ransom message demanding cryptocurrency has circulated online. Authorities say they are aware of it but have not confirmed whether it is real. The family has said they are willing to talk, but only if proof is given that Nancy is alive. Police have also rejected online rumors accusing family members.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department says no suspect or person of interest has been identified. Detectives continue to review tips and wait for additional forensic results while working with federal agencies.
