Police Issue Update On Abduction Of Savannah Guthrie’s Mom As More Details Emerge
Police in Arizona say the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie, is now being treated as an abduction. Investigators believe she was taken from her home against her will.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen late Saturday night at her home near Tucson. When she failed to attend church the next morning, family members became concerned and contacted police. Inside the home, officers found her phone, wallet, and car still there, along with signs that raised immediate concern. The case quickly shifted from a missing person search to a criminal investigation.

Sheriff Chris Nanos said authorities are confident she did not leave voluntarily. He stated that evidence at the scene points to someone entering the home during the night and forcing her to leave. The house is now being treated as a crime scene.
Police have stressed that Nancy Guthrie does not suffer from dementia and was mentally sharp. However, she has limited mobility and depends on daily medication, which makes her safe return urgent. Neighbors have been asked to review security and doorbell camera footage from the early morning hours.

The family has thanked the public for support and asked anyone with information to contact law enforcement immediately. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities say every detail, no matter how small, could help bring her home safely.
