Police have arrested a man in connection with the abduction of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie.
Nancy Guthrie was reported missing after she failed to attend her regular church service. She was last seen at her home in Tucson, and investigators believe she was taken against her will. Police said her phone, car, and identification were left behind, raising immediate concern.

Authorities also reviewed an alleged ransom note demanding millions of dollars in cryptocurrency. The note suggested serious consequences if demands were not met. Investigators said the case was treated as a criminal abduction from the start.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and local police confirmed that Derrick Callella, 42, was arrested in Hawthorne. He has been charged with sending a ransom demand across state lines. Officials stressed that the arrest relates to the ransom note and that the investigation remains active.

Savannah Guthrie and her family said they remain focused on one goal: bringing Nancy home safely. Authorities said they are continuing to pursue all leads and urged anyone with information to contact law enforcement immediately.
