Pop star looks unrecognisable from her band days – but can you guess who it is?

Fans barely recognized Jo O’Meara, the powerhouse voice behind S Club 7, as she stepped out for a quiet dog walk this week. Gone were the sparkling crop tops and bold blonde hair that defined her in the early 2000s. Instead, Jo appeared grounded and reflective — wrapped in a cozy coat, glasses perched on her face, and her faithful pup at her side.

At 43, Jo is embracing life at a slower pace while preparing for a major comeback. Her iconic pop group, S Club 7, is reuniting 25 years after their debut, promising a wave of pure ’90s nostalgia. “Their songs were fun, bright, and full of joy,” shared a source close to the reunion. “Fans across generations are ready for it.”

But Jo’s road back to the stage hasn’t been easy. A serious back injury that began during the band’s heyday returned with a vengeance, leading to four major surgeries to repair a slipped disc. “It felt like someone had shot me,” she said. “The pain was unbearable — I thought my career was over.”

Doctors warned she might never dance again, but Jo refused to give up. Now, through daily therapy and sheer determination, she’s finding gratitude in the smallest things. “Just walking my dogs feels like a gift,” she said softly.

For Jo, the upcoming tour isn’t just about music — it’s about resilience, healing, and rediscovering joy. “I’m taking each day as it comes,” she added. “If I can get back on that stage, it’ll mean everything.”
