A former award-winning adult film star has reportedly been left with life-changing injuries after entering a California rehabilitation center for drug treatment, according to a new lawsuit filed by her family.
Emily Willis, now 25, sought help at a Malibu facility in January 2024 to address a serious ketamine addiction. Court documents claim she had been using large daily amounts of the drug for about a year, which had already caused troubling health effects.

The lawsuit alleges that during her stay, Willis’ condition steadily worsened. Family representatives say she became weak, confused, and increasingly unable to care for herself. Despite visible signs of decline, the filing claims staff failed to secure urgent medical care.
On February 4, 2024, Willis was found unresponsive. Paramedics reportedly performed CPR for an extended period before restoring her heartbeat. However, the lack of oxygen to her brain caused severe and lasting damage.
Since then, Willis has regained limited awareness. She can reportedly track movement with her eyes but cannot speak or move independently. She now lives in a long-term care facility in Utah.

Her family is suing the rehab center and its parent company, citing negligence and failures in basic medical oversight. Their attorney argues that proper care could have prevented the outcome and says her condition was ignored until it became irreversible.
Before entering rehab, Willis had stepped away from adult films after a highly successful career that included major industry awards. She had begun pursuing mainstream acting and creative projects, expressing optimism about the future.

Now, her case has sparked renewed discussion about patient safety and accountability within private rehabilitation centers.
