Brazilian authorities are investigating the sudden death of a young adult content creator who fell from a hotel balcony while reportedly filming material for an online platform.
Anna Beatriz Pereira Alves, known to followers as Anna Polly, was found dead in a courtyard at an aparthotel in Nova Iguaçu, about 25 miles northwest of Rio de Janeiro. Local media report she was 23 years old.

According to early information, Alves had invited two men to her hotel room. They were allegedly taking part in a filmed encounter. At some point, she fell from a balcony. The circumstances remain unclear.
The two men have given differing accounts of what happened beforehand. However, police have not made any arrests. Investigators from the homicide unit are reviewing security camera footage and have already questioned hotel staff. Alves’ mobile phone has also been seized as evidence.
So far, officials have not released post-mortem findings. It is also unknown whether drugs or signs of sexual violence were involved. Because of these uncertainties, police say they are treating the case as complex. They stress that they are considering every possibility, including an accident or a criminal act.

Alves’ boyfriend, Pedro Henrique, said the family is cooperating fully with investigators. In emotional tributes, he spoke of deep grief and a growing sense of loss. Friends have also shared their shock, describing Alves as ambitious and excited about future projects.
The incident occurred on January 23, although wider reporting emerged days later. Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing as they work to establish exactly what led to her death.
