Reality star dies unexpectedly aged 39

Fans of Rock of Love are mourning the loss of former contestant Kelsey Lee Bateman, who has died at just 39. A relative confirmed the Utah native passed away “unexpectedly,” though no details about when or how were shared.

Kelsey first appeared in 2009 on the third season of Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels. She was only 21 at the time, competing against 22 women for the Poison frontman’s affection. During one memorable episode, she laughed through tears after drinking too much, saying: “I ended up laying on a speed bump bawling my eyes out… but I’m here.”

Although Michaels told her he didn’t think the road was right for her, he described her as “awesome and a beautiful girl.” After her exit, Kelsey admitted she could be “emotional” but stayed light-hearted about the experience.

Her sudden death has left fans shocked and saddened. It’s a reminder of how quickly life can change. How will you remember her?
