Michael Madsen, known for his tough-guy roles in Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, and Donnie Brasco, died unexpectedly at age 67. He was found unresponsive at his Malibu home on July 3 and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed cardiac arrest as the cause, with no signs of foul play.
Over four decades, Madsen starred in more than 300 projects and was a frequent collaborator of Quentin Tarantino. He gained cult fame as Mr. Blonde in Reservoir Dogs and Budd in Kill Bill. He was recently working on indie films and preparing to release a poetry book, Tears for My Father.

Though celebrated professionally, Madsen’s personal life was troubled. He filed for divorce in 2024, two years after losing his son Hudson to suicide. He also faced legal issues, including a 2023 domestic battery arrest, though no charges were filed.
Despite hardships, Madsen remained grateful for his career. “I may not be the most famous, but I’ve made unforgettable films,” he once said. He is survived by his children, including actor Christian Madsen, and will be remembered as a Hollywood icon.
