Rock star’s family devastated with common symptom leading him to ER after being diagnosed with ‘aggressive’ cancer

Junkyard frontman David Roach, who’s led the band for over 30 years, has been diagnosed with aggressive squamous cell carcinoma. The cancer has spread to his head, neck, and throat. In a heartfelt update, Roach and his fiancée Jennifer said the diagnosis is “devastating and life-altering.”

Though he had already been diagnosed, persistent fever and cough led Roach to the ER, where new test results “completely shattered our world.” Jennifer shared, “We’re trying to navigate through the emotions and uncertainty that come with it.”

Despite his condition, Roach remains resilient. “David is showing such incredible strength and resilience… he’s still managing to keep his sense of humor,” they wrote. Still, the road ahead is tough. “David made it clear he is not giving up hope.”

A GoFundMe has been launched to help cover rising medical and living expenses. The band also urged fans to buy Roach’s art and merchandise: “Every purchase, share, and donation can make a real difference.” Fans are encouraged to “keep David in your thoughts” as he faces his toughest battle yet.
