On August 21, 2025, Serena Williams, 43, wowed fans by posting swimsuit photos on Instagram. Posing in a bright yellow one-piece, she radiated joy and confidence while playing in the water. She captioned the post: “melanin mellow-yellow ⚠️”.
Her comment section quickly filled with admiration. “You look good skinny [sic] great body 🙌🙌,” wrote one fan. Another added, “Perfection 🔥 do you, you look phenomenal!” Yet, some expressed concern, with one saying: “🔥🔥🔥But don’t lose anymore!” Despite mixed feedback, many praised her dedication: “She said she was going to work on it and [sic] she did!!”

In an interview with People, Williams explained the challenges she faced after childbirth. “I never was able to get to the weight I needed to be no matter what I did, no matter how much I trained,” she recalled. She admitted the lack of progress was frustrating: “I had never taken shortcuts in my career and always worked really hard. I know what it takes to be the best.”
In 2024, after breastfeeding her second daughter, Williams turned to a GLP-1 medication through Ro, a direct-to-patient healthcare company. “I lost over 31 pounds using my GLP-1 and [sic] I was really excited about that weight loss,” she revealed. Beyond weight, the treatment improved her energy and mobility: “I feel great…I feel really good and healthy. I feel light physically and light mentally.” Williams also emphasized the importance of self-love: “So I just think it’s so important to love who you are. You’ll never get that moment back.”
