First Photo of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in Prison Shows a Dramatic Change

A new photo of Sean “Diddy” Combs has been released, and it shows a man who looks almost nothing like the music star he once was. The picture was taken at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison in New Jersey. It is the first public image of Combs since his arrest and conviction earlier this year.

Arrest, Trial, and Sentence

Combs, 56, was arrested on September 16, 2024. A federal grand jury had charged him with several crimes, including racketeering conspiracy and trafficking-related offenses.
After an eight-week trial, the jury found him guilty only on charges linked to prostitution. He was cleared of the more serious conspiracy and trafficking counts.

He was moved to Fort Dix on October 30 to serve the rest of his 50-month sentence.

Emotional Testimony During the Trial

Jurors heard difficult testimony from two of Combs’ former partners, including singer Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura.
They described years of physical and emotional abuse. They also said they were pressured into disturbing “freak-off” parties organized by Combs.

Life Inside Fort Dix

Since arriving at the prison, Combs has been assigned to laundry duty. He has also been accepted into a drug rehabilitation program. If he completes the program and keeps a clean record, his release date could be moved up by as much as a year.

A spokesperson said he is now “focused on sobriety, healing, and setting a better example.”

Reports of Rule Violations

Some reports claim Combs has already gotten into trouble. Media outlets say he drank homemade alcohol and joined a banned three-way phone call.
His representatives deny these claims and say many stories are exaggerated because he is a high-profile inmate.

A Stark New Image

The new mugshot shows Combs in plain prison clothing. His hair and beard are fully gray. His expression looks tired and worn.
For someone who once lived a glamorous life, the photo is a powerful reminder of how much has changed.
