Shocking footage shows the moment Spanish matador Serafín Marín, 42, was gored by a bull in Madrid. More than 8,000 spectators watched as he was lifted into the air, impaled, and thrown to the ground.
“I didn’t realise I had been gored until I entered the infirmary,” Marín said. “I was stunned, dizzy, and bleeding a lot.” Doctors later confirmed the bull’s horn pierced 30cm into his thigh, requiring urgent surgery.
Marín, the last matador to perform in Catalonia before bullfighting was banned there, said he had been preparing for the fight all year. Despite the pain, he vowed: “I still have a lot to say in bullfighting.”
Animal rights protests continue across Europe, with activists calling the events cruel and outdated. One protester recently said: “That’s torture, not culture.” The shocking incident has reignited debate about whether bullfighting should still exist.

Do you think bullfighting is a tradition worth keeping—or a cruelty that must end?
