A 15-year-old boy has been found guilty of murdering Sheffield schoolboy Harvey Willgoose during lunch break in February. The attacker, also 15, brought a 13cm hunting knife to All Saints Catholic High School and stabbed Harvey twice in the chest.

Harvey’s sister Sophie said, “On 3 February, we didn’t just lose Harvey, we lost a part of ourselves.” She described him as warm, funny, and a “rare gift for bringing people together.” His parents, Caroline and Mark, are now campaigning to raise awareness about knife crime in schools.

Caroline, who spoke of Harvey’s last words — “Mum, are you proud of me?” — is pushing for knife arches in schools and launching “Harvey’s Hub,” a safe youth space. “Harvey never wanted people arguing; he wanted people to come together,” she said.

Detective Inspector Joe Hackworthy called the case “a heartbreaking reminder” of the devastation knives cause. Harvey’s father Mark added, “Whatever happens in court, it’ll never be justice. It’ll never be enough.”
