A British-born teenager is set to make history as the first millennial saint. Carlo Acutis, known as “God’s influencer,” devoted his short life to faith and helping the poor.
Carlo was born in London but grew up in Milan. From a young age, he donated to the needy and cooked meals for the homeless. At just seven, he wrote, “My life plan is to be always close to Jesus.”

Tragically, Carlo died from leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15. Since then, the Vatican has confirmed two miracles linked to him. One involved healing a Brazilian toddler with a rare condition. Another credited him with saving a woman from a brain hemorrhage after a crash.
On September 7, Pope Leo XIV will canonize Carlo at the Vatican. His body, preserved in jeans and trainers, lies in Assisi, drawing thousands of visitors each year. Carlo’s story inspires many to ask: what does true faith look like in today’s world?
