A heartbreaking tragedy has struck New York after 12-year-old Zemfira Mukhtarov was killed while subway surfing. The young girl and her 13-year-old friend, Ebba Morina, were found dead on top of a J train in Brooklyn around 3 a.m. on Saturday.

Just weeks earlier, Zemfira had shared chilling videos on TikTok showing her lying on train tracks and performing dangerous stunts. “I always working, and I don’t know what she’s doing,” her devastated mother, Nataliya Rudenko, told The New York Post. “One time, I saw her on top of the Williamsburg Bridge pretending to hold the city in her hand.”
Her father, Ruslan Mukhtarov, shared a heartbreaking message on GoFundMe: “She was full of life and taken far too soon. No parent should face this pain.” The family is now raising funds to give her a proper farewell.
Zemfira’s death is a painful reminder of the dangers behind viral stunts. As one mourner wrote, “No thrill is worth a young life.”
