A shocking twist has emerged in the case of Baby Elsa, a newborn found abandoned in Newham, London, on January 18. She is the third child abandoned by the same parents since 2017. Baby Elsa was discovered wrapped in a towel inside a bag, reportedly with her umbilical cord still attached.
DNA tests confirmed that Elsa is a full sibling to two other abandoned infants, Harry, found in 2017, and Roman, found in 2019. All three babies were abandoned within 1.7 miles of each other. The man who found Roman recalled, “The child had a frosty forehead… [it was] snowing shortly afterwards.”
Despite extensive investigations, including interviews, CCTV reviews, and public appeals, the parents remain unidentified. Authorities are currently searching for a woman seen near the abandonment site who may have crucial information.
Judge Carol Atkinson emphasized the public interest in this unusual case, stating, “There is a clear public interest in reporting this story.” The police have stressed the importance of the children’s welfare and privacy. While Baby Elsa remains in foster care, her siblings have been adopted.
