The world is mourning another loss from the Turner family. Ike Turner Jr., the Grammy-winning son of Tina and Ike Turner, has died at 67 — just one day after his birthday.
According to family members, Ike Jr. passed away in a Los Angeles hospital from kidney failure after years of heart problems. His cousin Jacqueline Bullock said, “Junior was more than a cousin — he was like a brother. Our family thanks everyone for their love and prayers during this difficult time.”

Born in 1958, Ike Jr. grew up surrounded by fame and turbulence. Tina raised him from age two, and he later worked with her before starting his own career. “Tina’s the only mother I’ve ever known,” he once said, though he admitted their relationship became distant in later years.
Despite struggles — including health issues and a 2023 arrest — Ike Jr. never stopped making music. His sister-in-law, Afida Turner, shared a touching tribute online: “Rest in peace, Ike Jr. You were amazing.” His story, marked by both talent and tragedy, reminds us that even legends carry heavy hearts.
