Fans are mourning after comedian Reggie Carroll was gunned down in Southaven, Mississippi, at just 52 years old.
Police say Carroll was found with gunshot wounds on Wednesday. Officers gave aid, but he later died from his injuries. A male suspect has been charged with murder, though his name has not yet been released. Authorities described the case as an “isolated shooting” and say the investigation is ongoing.

Carroll, nicknamed “The Knockout King of Comedy,” was a well-known stand-up performer across the US. He appeared in shows like The Parkers and Showtime at the Apollo. He also built a strong online following, with over 160,000 Instagram fans.
Tributes are pouring in. Comedian Mo’Nique called him her “brother in comedy,” adding: “All of our time together was amazing.” His brother Jonathan thanked fans for their love, writing: “Your support has been well received—thank you.”
