Donald Trump dismissed questions about Jeffrey Epstein with a sharp, six-word reply: “You’ve got to be kidding me.” The comment came after CNN released newly uncovered photos and footage showing Trump and Epstein at social events in the 1990s.
Trump previously promised to release files linked to convicted sex offender Epstein. In February 2025, Attorney General Pamela Bondi published the first batch of declassified documents. However, the Department of Justice later said there was “no basis” to release more files and found no incriminating “client list.”

The new images confirm Epstein attended Trump’s 1993 wedding to Marla Maples and show the two laughing at a 1999 Victoria’s Secret event. Photographer Dafydd Jones, who captured Trump’s wedding, said, “I wish now I took more of him with Trump.”
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung called the images “out-of-context frame grabs” and insisted Trump cut ties with Epstein years ago. Despite their past social appearances, reports claim the two had a falling-out in the mid-2000s over a real estate deal.
