Elon Musk and Donald Trump, once allies, are now locked in a public feud. Musk criticized Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” and went further by accusing the former president of hiding Jeffrey Epstein-related files, claiming Trump’s name appears in them. “Time to drop the really big bomb,” Musk posted on X, offering no evidence for the claim.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called Musk’s remarks “an unfortunate episode,” suggesting his frustration stems from policy disagreements. She emphasized Trump’s commitment to passing the bill, calling it a priority for the administration.

Speaking on Fox News, Leavitt said Musk had recently praised Trump’s leadership in cutting waste and fraud. She noted Musk’s shift in tone came after returning to business, while Trump remains focused on national interests.
Leavitt described the bill as “the most historic” in modern times, delivering major tax cuts for middle- and working-class families and fulfilling Trump’s campaign promises. Despite the drama, the administration remains focused on legislative progress.
