Health update shared
“Whose Line Is It Anyway?” star Colin Mochrie is having emergency surgery.
The news came Friday in an Instagram statement.
Mochrie shared it with tour partner Asad Mecci and HyProv.
They wrote:
“We regret to inform you that our upcoming shows will be postponed due to a medical situation involving Colin Mochrie,”

Diagnosis and surgery
The statement said Mochrie has a detached retina.
It also said he would have emergency eye surgery that day.
They added:
“Colin has been diagnosed with a detached retina and will be undergoing emergency eye surgery today,”
They said his medical team expects a full recovery.
However, they said he needs time to rest and heal.

Shows impacted
The post said plans are in place for new dates.
It also said refunded tickets are being arranged.
They wrote:
“Colin is incredibly grateful for your support and well wishes,”
They added:
“He forward to being back on stage and sharing many more laughs with all of you in the near future. Thank you for understanding.”

Tour details
Mochrie and Mecci, 50, started their tour in December.
They have shows scheduled through April.
HyProv’s website calls it “a boundary-breaking comedy experience that fuses hypnosis and improvisation into one electrifying show.”
Career notes
Mochrie starred on the UK “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” first.
He later joined the US version hosted by Drew Carey from 1998 to 2007.
Later, he returned for the CW revival hosted by Aisha Tyler.
That run aired from 2013 to 2024.
