Widow and son of ICE shooting victim Renee Nicole Good become MILLIONAIRES thanks to tidal wave of GoFundMe donations

Huge Support for Good Family

The family of Renee Nicole Good received over $1.5 million in donations. This money came after an ICE agent shot her on Wednesday.

Crowdfunding Goal Smashed

A GoFundMe campaign started with a goal of $50,000. However, the fundraiser raised more than 28 times that amount. The total passed $1.5 million by 3:30 p.m. ET on Friday. Nearly 38,000 people donated to the family in two days. One anonymous person gave a single gift of $50,000.

Family Expresses Gratitude

Organizer Becka Tilsen said the family feels a wave of care. The money helps wife Rebecca and her three children. The youngest child is a six-year-old son who is now orphaned. Meanwhile, the family is still grappling with their tragic loss. Organizers said they are in awe of the global generosity.

Debate Over Shooting

ICE agent Jonathan Ross shot Good three times in Minneapolis. The Trump administration says Ross acted in legal self-defense. However, Democrats have branded the federal agent a murderer. Video shows Ross firing after Good began to pull her car forward. Now, the FBI is investigating the use of deadly force.

Past Incident Noted

Ross is an Iraq War veteran and long-time officer. Last summer, a fleeing driver dragged Ross with a car. That incident required the officer to get 33 stitches. Still, local officials say the self-defense claim is garbage. The community continues to support the Good family during this time.
