Rebecca Good released a statement about the death of her wife, Renee Nicole Good.
Tragic Shooting Incident
ICE agent Jonathan Ross shot Renee Nicole Good on Wednesday in Minneapolis. The 37-year-old mother died at the scene during a neighborhood protest. Ross fired three shots into her car after she allegedly ignored orders. Later, Rebecca Good confirmed they were there to support their neighbors.

Widow Shares Statement
Rebecca Good spoke to MPR News on Friday about the killing. She said the couple had whistles while the agents had guns. “We stopped to support our neighbors. We had whistles. They had guns,” she said. She described Renee as a person of faith who radiated kindness.
Conflicting Video Evidence
New videos show the moments before the shooting took place. One video shows the couple talking to Ross from their car. Rebecca urged the agent to show his face during the encounter. “You want to come at us? I say go get yourself some lunch big boy,” she said. The agent claimed he acted in self-defense as the car moved.
Family Left Behind
Renee leaves behind three children, including a six-year-old son. The boy’s father, Timothy Macklin, died in May 2023. Rebecca said she must now raise their son alone. She wants to teach him to build a better world. Finally, she asked for privacy while the family grieves their loss.
